Driving into the small town of Ingonish
a warm cozy cabin was our only wish.
All settled in, we soon set off to Mainsteet
hoping to dine on a delicious treat.
Service was great and food did not disappoint
Our tummies now full, we rolled out of the joint.
Our inn host had advised the beach was not far,
so we wandered slowly down without the car.
After many twists and turns, sun going down,
we only hoped we’d find our way back to town.
At long last, we arrived at sea coast vista,
sunset and waves made a view not to be missed.
As we walked back home, we all smiled and we sighed,
all agreeing this day was worth the long ride.
