September 29/18 (Part 1) – Wolfville to Port Hawkesbury – Wolfville Farmers Market

The day started off rainy again and we took our time to eat breakfast, pack up and drive away from Wolfville. Here are some shots of our B & B.

We were going to just drive away on Saturday morning, but notices for the local Farmers’ Market convinced us to give it a look, before we headed away. It was a great market with lots of local craft, food and beverage offerings, in addition to the usual fruits and vegetables. We picked up a few supplies for a picnic along our route. I was convinced to pose as a scarecrow. Pretty scary, eh?

Picnic supplies purchased, we drove away, with one last view of the Acadia University sports fields. Despite the small enrollment, their sports teams have had a lot of success over the years.

    1. Quite right. I often think you can get a good feel for a community, just by visiting their Farmers’ Markets. We have been to so many and even quite a few on this trip across Canada. Thanks for reading and commenting. Allan
