September 27 (Part 3) – Digby to Wolfville – the Balancing Rock Trail

We had passed the trail parking lot on our way toward Brier Island, but did not stop at that time. Now, the weather was a bit better and we really needed to stretch our legs. The trail is 2.5 km long one way and ends in several steep sets of stairs (235 steps) which drop you down along the coast next to this phenomena. The trail was beautiful and easy going until the staircases at the end. Autumn was coming on and the ferns were a glorious golden orange. Some of the leaves on the trees were also changing.

A little levity on the return trip.
