As you drive along the Gaspé it is hard to remember you are beside the Saint Lawrence River. It just plain looks like a huge ocean expanse. It was 113 km (70 miles) wide where we turned inland at l’Anse Pleureuse (literally Crying Cove). The scenery and the towns are little gems along the brilliant necklace that is the Gaspé. Every little town has it church front and center and on this day, most were gleaming in the intermittent sun.
In Gaspé, we stopped for a break at the Gaspé Museum, but our schedule did not leave much time for exploring.
